Advancing video In Adobe Flash Player

Previously I could advance a video using the mouse in Adobe Flash Player if I wanted to skip the first few minutes. Starting yesterday I can no longer advance the video at all. I have the current version of Adobe Flash Player. How can I correct this? Thanks in advance.

I have IE 8 and Mozilla Firebird and both respond in the same manner. Is there a setting I should change?
