    Links won't OPEN

Running Win XP and Thunderbird. When I get an Email with an embedded link, highlighted and underlined in BLUE, and I click on it, NOTHING happens. The only way I can open it is to highlight it, Edit, Copy and then open my Firefox browser and Paste it. Then it opens nicely. All other links such as wmv. or pps open as per normal.

Also I am having trouble getting to the Lounge and had to go through Google to get this far.

Any HELP would be most appreciated. Please reply by Email to: until I get this back to where it once was.

    Thank you all very much.

As far as getting to the Lounge goes make sure any shortcuts you use have the web address http://windowssecrets.com/forums.

Is Firefox set as your default browser?

    What version of Thunderbird?
    What version of FF?

Do you have XP SP3 installed?
    Is XP up-to-date with patches?

Yes Firefox is my default browser, version 9.0.1 Since my last post I tried removing Thunderbird 8.0 and Installed version 10.0. XP SP3 is installed with all the patches I am aware of.
Since installing 10.0 it has made NO difference to opening embedded links.

Thanx for your quick response. Standing by for MORE???

What happens if you temporarily make IE your default browser?

Problem solved!!! Did a recheck and found that Firefox was NOT the default browser. Changed it to be the default browser. Then I checked some emails and they all work as they should.
    Thank you for your attention.
