You should see Kodak Park now. It's gone to a great extent. Their employment is a fraction of what they once were. They recently declared bankrupcy. Overseas competition has killed them. Retirees are very concerned, not necessarily about their pension, but their medical benefits which are being cut, I believe next year??? It's a sad time in Rochester!

We had a similar thing here when IBM pulled out some years ago..
Most of the facilities are still empty 20 years later.

I'm originally from Binghamton, the triple cities area. As you are probably aware, Endicott is the original home of IBM so I can attest to what has happened to them as well. It certainly is a sad state when these giants are dying a slow death.

I have been to Binghamton many times.
    My son lived there..

Look Ted, it's was IBM's and the local governments fault also...

IBM left a big toxic mess, so did GE. And that cost millions of OUR dollars to clean up.

Now when anyone wants to start something there, or anywhere, for that matter, the Gov regs almost can't be met and when they are some environmental group takes them to court and that last years...Meanwhile the people suffer and they really don't care.
