    View full screen

Using PPT 2010. Made a pptx and ppsx of the same item, but need to have it view
    on my monitor full screen.
It views, but has black inch plus borders on both sides.
Is there any wany to reduce or eliminate the black borders or it it a monitor resolution thing?

I'm sure it is a simple explaination, but having a senior moment.

    Thanks in advance.

You could try adjusting the 'Slides sized for' setting under: Design > Page Setup.

As Gary says that's the problem but changing the setting AFTER you've made the presentation will badly distort any shapes or images. Really you need to alter the setting before making a presentation. A Time Machine is useful here!

    Thank you Gary and John.
Changed to 16:9 and it worked GREAT without much distortion.
