    WLM folders in AppData/Local ??

I have been using WLM since Win 7 was released, but starting last April I began seeing an ever increasing number of hexadecimal labeled folders appear in my App/Data/Local directory, but they are all empty folders. I ignored it for a long time, but they are accumulating at a rate of two or three new ones per day - over 700 in the directory now! I randomly checked a number of them and they all show to be empty, even the ones with today's and recent dates. I eventually noticed they all seem to have been created at the time I open WLM each morning. This morning I checked before opening WLM and the latest two folders carried yesterday's date. Then I opened WLM, and sure enough two new folders suddenly appeared with today's date. And they too are empty. I assumed these must be some sort of temporary folders, but CCleaner does not find them, and none that I have checked have any content. It would be of no consequence, except now there are over 700 in the AppData/Local directory with no end in sight. I don't use news feeds or any of the Win Live features except WLM. Anybody know what these folders are? What is causing this accumulation? Can I safely delete them?

I saw a thread in the WLM forums saying that this is a bug in the process of checking for updates. Unofrtunately, I can't find the thread right now.

In any event, you can delete them.
