    Post listing

    I made a post here:
    http://windowssecrets.com/forums/sho...l=1#post841204

But when I go to my activity page and click on "Find all posts", this post doesn't show up in the list. I am not sure at all that any posts made in the Windows Secrets forums would show up in this list.

Why not and if I am correct, when will this problem be fixed?

How can one get a list of their posts made in the WS forums?

Excellent question, I have never seen that happen before. I don't know why its happening yet either.

Under normal operation, using any vbulletin-based forum like this one, you can click your username next to any post, then select "view forum posts" (it may be labeled differently on other sites) and you will see any posts you made on the site.

We'll work on figuring it out in the next week, and hopefully figure out a solution on it sooner than later. It's possibly a caching issue of some sort, as your earlier post in that same thread does show when you view all posts... But your post made more recently does not show up.

In my experience here, most people's posts don't show up on any search until more than a day later.

I have similar results. Not sure if it takes a full day. I often look at new members and check on their posts (actually keeping an eye out for spammers) and almost never do their posts come up when I check from their profiles immediately, but like I said I am unsure how long it takes.

You guys nailed it - those search results are built periodically through the day to conserve server resources and improve the responsiveness of the site.

It looks like it was intended to be configured to update every 10 minutes, but it was only updating once per day. I corrected that, and you should find that these sorts of searches show up more accurately in the future.
