    XP Home vs XP Pro

I currently have a home office with a laptop running Win2000 Pro and a desktop running Win98, networked peer-to-peer through a Linksys router. I am looking to upgrade the Win98 to XP, and am trying to decide which version...Home or Pro. I may eventually add a 3rd PC into the mix. What are the thoughts on which version I should use?? TIA

Re: XP Home vs XP Pro

if you can afford it, i'd problably get pro. It gives you terminal services and file level security. For peer-to-peer, either version is ok, but only pro can log onto domains. That's not an issue for you though, unless you log the laptop into a domain at work etc.
Also - i don't think home is a valid upgrade patch from win2k. You'd need to reformat and pop in a win9x cd as proof. not a big deal really though.
