Running Windows 7 Home Premium.
My start menu doesn't look like your start menu ! Most of it is the same but mine does not have the bar at the bottom showing the Orb symbol. The orb is in the programmes menu as a symbol for the Windows Media Centre.

Are you talking about your Start Menu looking like this:

This is correct. The Start Orb is part of the Task Bar and is what you click to open the Start Menu so I guess it would be considered a part of the Start Menu as well. 2012-03-05 21:17@Septuagent, Roderunner has enabled the Windows Classic Theme -
If yours looks similar, then if you right click the desktop, select Personalize, scroll down and change to Windows 7 Aero, or Windows 7 Basic then you'll get something more like you probably want.Last edited by northwood2222; 2012-03-05 at 21:21.
