Windows Mail on 7 ??

I DON'T want Windows LIVE Mail.
I spent hours yesterday reading about getting WM to work in 7 but as far as I can remember , all were way over my pea brain or had something about Vista which I have never had. I only have 7 because my XP crashed so bought new machine. Is there a way for a 'puter novice to install WM?

Yes, but it's more difficult to do than getting WLM to work correctly.

It is an admittedly difficult process as Microsoft does not want it used in Windows 7. The most detailed instructions I have found are at:

Since it is not supported by Microsoft, you are on your own if anything goes wrong, but Dr Who claims it works well.

Thanks Jerry, had kinda looked at that before & just now got back from being there for almost an hour & got darn lost 'cuz going from pg.1 to higher pgs. just had me confused due to mingling of dates. I think the last pg. was 114 & in place of date it was xx hrs. ago so wasn't sure if Dr.Who was the most recent or what? But then again it's probably me, I'm not the sharpest tack when it comes to understanding forums. Is Doc a frequent poster here? I don't know how to look up poster names here. Darn, had my heart set on WM due to it being the same as Outlook Express which I miss something awful.

You shouldn't have to go past the first page. All the necessary information is there. The doc posts under the user name DrWho. (no spaces).

DrWho web site. The Win 7 stuff rar should be downloaded to a folder on your desktop. Expand with any unzip app such as 7Zip. There is a folder in there om WinMail in Win 7. I do not know how to do it because I use WLM. Perhaps DrWho will see this, or you can PM him and ask him to post instructions here.
