Many interesting videos in this archive; interviews with some of the pioneers, e.g., Claude Shannon, are toward the back.

I presume this film was made before the Atanasoff-Berry Computer was declared the First Electronic Computer. Note electronic, not electrical. At any rate, here's a webpage listing firsts:

(The first computer I used was an IBM 1130. I learned and programmed in BAL and COBOL, and it was fun. Ahhh, the good old days, indeed!)

The first Personal Computer I purchased was an IBM PC Jr. About $2000. 64K of RAM, one 5-1/4" Floppy 640x480 Color display, DOS 2.01 and of Course BASIC to make it do what ever I wanted it to do. It was a "Learning Experience" for sure but fun too. I won't tell you when this was but I believe that "Leisure Suites" were about to come to style.
