No longer checks if default browser (IE 6.0.26 (and maybe 5.5 SP 1))
On at least three Windows 2000, SP1 systems, IE will no longer check to see if it's the default browser, even though that option IS checked. Neither does selecting Reset Web Settings make any difference. The IE6 system is mine; the perhaps 5.5 systems (I'm verifying the versions) are two users. We also use Netscape 4.78 on these same systems; Netscape is the default on two, IE is the default on one. But in all cases we want to have IE check.
To confuse things, I have what I think is the same setup on another of my systems, and it works as expected.
I haven't been able to find any hits in MS KB (but I seem to have a problem asking it the right questions). Any troubleshooting or fix-it help would be appreciated.
