    Batch files under Windows XP

Does anyone know if DOS batch files work under Windows XP?

Yep - they do. At least the plain ole bat files I have tried.

Thanks, that's very good to know. I'd hate to have to rewrite all those useful bat files I've developed through the years. (Going back to 1985!)

In fact, have found that W2k and XP both have a very good dos platform. Have an old flat dbf database in dos going back 10+ years. Still works fine, and serves my purpose. Very fast, and requires no resources!

I checked my help file on XP Pro for 'Command-line reference' and found about 175 entries, all process commands sequentially, both .bat and .cmd. There is help language behind each.
