Docking the HELP Window (office 2000/SR-1)

It used to be that when I opened HELP in any of the office products the Office window would shrink to one side and the help window would occupy about 1/3 of the screen so that I could see both at the same time. When the HELP window was closed the Office window would go back to its original size automatically. I'm not sure what happened but now the Office window is unaffected by the HELP window and the HELP window opens on top of the Office window in the middle of the page. I can't figure out how to get the HELP window to dock like it used to. It is happening in all of the Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

I am using Win98 SE and nothing new was added or changed around the time Office started acted differently.

Any help would be appreciated.

you undocked it. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

just drag it back to the screen edge so it docks again and it should act like you want.


(most people hate it docked and want it floating <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>)

I feel kind of silly. I made a half-hearted attempt to do that before but I didn't expect it to work and when it didn't snap right into place, I gave up. I tried again just now and, shazzaam, it worked like a charm. That'll teach me to give up so easily.
