    Microsoft Access 2003 & Win 8 CP

When I open one of my Access 2003 database files I get this message:
    Access Smart Card Connect.PNG
I've never seen this before in XP, Vista or 7. Clicking cancel allows the file
to progress to the Macro warning message but what is this all about?
Note: this message only appears when opening this one DB.

It gets better. My major project for our HOA breaks Access entirely failing with serious {unspecified of course} errors! This DB works fine on Win 7, Vista, XP and Access 2003 & 2010.

Update: Looks like the title should be Microsoft Office vs Access!
I'm now having the problem with an Excel file also both the Smart Card message and the inability to get Certificates to work the way they should.
