    Conditional Formatting for dates

    I am looking to do the following: To enter a date and have the cell remain clear until it is 30 days prior to the current date at which point the cell will turn yellow background. Once the date has pasted, the cell will turn red. On the current date the cell will turn green.

    Three conditions, using a formula
    Red Condition: =A1>Today()
    Green Condition: =A1=Today()
    Yellow Condition: =A1+30>=Today()

    Select the range (A4:A8) select the conditional formatting, choose a formula and then enter the formula based on A4 (the upper left cell in the range). It will apply to all in the range (relative with A4).
