    intellimouse 2.0 issues

It seems periodically my wireless mouse does not want to function properly. I have upgraded to the latest application on the microsoft site. i have changed batteries, i have rolled back drivers and loaded new drivers. It will work fine for a while then begin to go screwy again. what it does is you have to continue to click on something to perform your task. so i even have fooled around with the click speed. Do I need to trash it and buy a new one? thanks for any tips and help.

It could be the left button is going bad.
I have had that happen and also, it would double click when I only single clicked.

Try another USB port and see if that helps.

Check any other potential nearby wireless devices for interference.[It's possible but unlikely]

    Clint,

On my unifying Logitech mouse I needed to use a 4" USB extension because when the receiver was plugged directly into USB port there was interference.
