    Footnote numbering

I have a fairly long document with >25 footnotes. Footnotes 1 and 2 are correctly referenced, but what should be footnote 3 is now footnote 5, and the numbering countiues correctly thereafter (i. e., 6, 7, 8 etc., for what should be 3, 4, 5)Any help? Thanks in advance.

    Hi jlkirk,

This usually results from having 'Track Changes' on, with deleted ranges encompassing footnotes.

By accepting/rejecting those changes - at least insofar as the footnotes are concerned.
