Remote desktop in Windows 7 Home Premium

I found this "patch" to run remote desktop in Windows 7 Home Premium and am wondering if anyone knows about it and if it works and is safe.

Why not just use Team Viewer instead. It has been much discussed in these forums as a better alternative.

I must agree with Ted here, after more than a decade of remotely accessing computers )or trying to), TeamViewer is the one that has been least likely to fail (excepting prompts to upgrade), others I've tried continually fail or work only occasionally.

'patching' can lead to other problems further down the line, even if the patches are 'safe' - new patch from MSFT/Windows Update out for Remote Desktop today - it might break the one you linked - or make it fail, leaving you even more vulnerable.
