TESTING A CELL AND PERFORMING A FUNCTION - Excel 2003 and higher.

I am trying to do an if statement to test a cell. if that cell is a number then a mathematical formula should be calculated and recorded in the resultant cell.
If that cell is a TEXT, SPACE THEN TEXT, or BLANK then instead of a mathematical formula a space is recorded in the resultant cell.

the mathematical formula is =+D1*E1-F1 in resultant cell K1. The cell tested in in A1. I do not want to see an error code in the resultant cell K1.

    Any one with some assistance.

    Thanks.

    MNN,

    This should do it: =IF(ISNUMBER(A1),D1*E1-F1,"")
