    Outlook 2010 file setup

I am setting up Outlook 2010 with multiple email accounts and multiple folders. I understand that all data is stored in one PST file. At the end of each year, I want to archive all emails from all folders into a separate PST file for each year. What is the best way to do this?

Archival can occur automatically or manually. The auto-archive settings can be configured and those work for automatic archiving. You can specify the default archive settings or specify custom settings for each folder. This is done in Folder tab, Autoarchive Settings, when you have a folder selected.

You can also archive manually, which is my option and I also do an archive folder per year. Manual archiving is achieved through the Archive option in the Folder tab. You can select every setting, including specifying a new archive file. The dialog is simple to understand, IMO, but let us know if you need any further help.
