getting a ITEM COUNT on a list of numbers. EXCEL 2003 and upward

I would like to get a COUNT on a column of numbers. Each of the column cells could contain positive whole & decimal numbers, negative whole & decimal numbers, zeros, blank cells and possibly text.

Can I accomplish the COUNT of the column cells which have numbers (positive, negative, whole number, decimal number (rounded 3 places only)), and NOT INCLUDING ZEROES IN THE COUNT?

    Thank you.

    Hi

I think you will need something like
    =COUNTIF(D7:16,">0")+COUNTIF(D7:16,"<0")
..where you would specify the appropriate range required.
