Have Word files open full screen on the correct monitor

I use two monitors (Win7, Office 2010). When I open a Word file (whether from an e-mail message or from my Desktop), I want it to open full screen on the right monitor. It used to be that if I started a new session by opening any Word file and moving it to the right monitor and making it full screen, all subsequent files that I opened in that session would do the same. This has stopped happening - my Word files are opening on the left, and not full screen, no matter how often during the session I move a file to the right and make it full screen. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I could do to bring back this feature?

Set up Word on the desired monitor as desired.
Hold down the Ctrl key while clicking the X to exit.
From now on it should open where you want.
Note: if you move it to the other monitor and close it there it may forget but shouldn't.
Also if you use CCleaner uncheck the box for: Windows Size/Location Cache

    Thank you.

I will try both your suggestions.
