Sound Recorder in XP 2003 SP 3

Hi............pleased to be here.........Today I was told that to transfer audio from ancient cassette tapes to H/D there is Audacity also the said task can be done using the "Sound Recorder" that is part of the Windows 2003 SP3 operating system but when I tried to use it the duration seemed by default to be limited to 60 seconds (see attachment) Is it possible to transfer a 90 minute lecture to H/D using this app please or must I use Audacity? Hello Mat,

The Sound Recorder in pre-Vista systems is limited to 60 seconds.
There is a workaround to increase the length in 60 second increments:
