    Windows Vista download

    Hi,

Anyone know of a legitimate place to download Vista home 32 bit.

I'm trying to help someone with an OEM license to reinstall Vista. They don't have recovery disks.

I tried searching the lounge but didn't find anything.

Actually, for Vista, things are not so easy. Seems there is no ISO, so you have to download three files separately:

This one has a better explanation on what to do when the download completes:

Thanks but none of those links work.

Get DENIED for first site and File not found for the other.

Microsoft and the original OEM are your only authorized sources for replacing a licensed copy of Windows Vista, or you can purchase full and/or OEM disks from authorized reputable sites (e.g. Amazon, Walmart.com, etc.).

Using flea market sites (e.g. E-bay, Craig's List, etc.) may be another alternative, but you are taking chances that the seller is reputable and is actually selling legitimate products.

It is actually illegal for unauthorized parties to post/host installation CD/DVD images for Windows Vista.
