Smile Compare Start tiles to Apps

    Screenshot (6).JPGScreenshot11.JPG

Notice Applications is ALL the Start tiles plus much more.

Applications is a folder on Desktop, leaving little need to visit Start.

    Cheers,
    Drew

To be more accurate you would need to compare All Apps in Metro versus All Apps in Desktop. You can't even see all the tiles in All Apps Metro:

I can display about half the apps in the Metro look, whereas all the apps are displayed in the desktop view.

That's precisely the point... You can have whatever few tiles in Start (after Removing several tiles), but, yet, everything, (still) nicely listed on the Desktop... & not even need Start.
