If you install Chrome via the Google Pack (you can find it in my references), it will install itself in Program Files.The link;http://google-pack.en.softonic.com/

chowur, it appears this pack does not give a person the option to pick and choose which of the included apps would be installed. It's all or none. Is this true? If so the only option afterward would be to then uninstall all the unwanted apps (most of them).
