    Newsletter ads

I understand to support your effort you probably get paid for the ads in the newsletter, at least I hope so. I typically don't download from such ads but was curious about one of them. My question is if I download a trial version of some software form your newsletter to test, have you tested it to ensure no malware or virus is present?

    Thanks.

Using any link should be filtered by a 'Hosts File', 'DNS server' or 'WOT' (Web of Trust) no matter who gives the link.

I believe there was such a problem 1-2 years ago, IIRC. The webmaster was made aware of the problem, but we'll have to see if (s)he comments on this thread.

I think the answer to the question must be "No", because the advertised trial software download files are not hosted on the Windows Secrets site.
