    Shut-down ?

This would go with the Start question but it is the other end of it, the Shut-down.
I have two machines running W-8, the Acer is now fine, I had problems with new-to-me DVD-RWs, fixed !
I have the second machine running W-8, an old ASUS P4, it does quite well, thankyou. My question is why does it keep the keyboard ON when I shut it down ? The Num-Lock LED is kept ON all the time. If I do the WinKey I to shutdown, there is no Sleep option on it. The Acer machine for the same keystrokes, offers a Restart-Shutdown-Sleep options. On the ASUS in question now, a hit of any key will bring it back from Sleep but there is no such choice. Is this due to the different MoBo where the ASUS is so qualified ?
Win-8 is a winner here. JP.

    JP,

@ Desktop, Alt+F4 gives all options.

    OR this is ideal:

    Me again, Drew.

    >>>@ Desktop, Alt+F4 gives all options.

These clicks only closed my IE-10 and I lost the site ! No option shown at all.

    >>>OR this is ideal: http://gigaherz.pcsx2.net/NPowerTray/

I read that one and it stated that .Net is required. Brace yourself now, I have removed .Net in toto and even refuse all Updates for it, this is me !

I did commit this to the printer and refer to it often enough, thanks. Do not mind me, I am this way and too old to learn too many new tricks. JP.

JP, have you tried out the Classic Shell shown here? Just wondering your opinion as well.

By the way your second link does not seem to be working.
