    network mapping problem

Clive, as I said in my pdf, my 2 Win7 pc's could create a homegroup but neither could connect to the other. I am also unable to do Network Mapping. Fortunately my method No2 works perfectly. Their are I believe, 4 settings in 'Services' that must be enabled to get a homegroup to work but don't remember the names.

    Hi Roderunner
Unfortunately apart from maybe firewall problems (in router also) I have no idea why you can't show the network map. Does your desktop or other computer show the map?

All typing errors are my own work and subject to patents pending. Except errors by the spell checker. And that has its own patients.

NO, tried both. At least I know how they are connected so don't need to be shown. All connections working well (intermittently) but easily fixed.
P.S. this is your thread, and I'm supposed to be helping you. Isn't life strange.
