    Taskbar popup

Recently downloaded free version of Avria antivirus software which I read was a good program.
Since installing I get a popup from my taskbar on startup and sometimes during the day trying to sell me their products.

Do not mind the program, but could do without the popups. Anyway of disabling the popup and still keep the program. Or is this the price one pays for "free".

    Thanks,
    Richard Spring

There are many fine free AV apps available. Some free apps have the nag screens that just don't go away. If it gets too annoying you can just switch to a different free app. There are many discussed throughout these Forums, predominantly in the Security and Backups Forum.

    Richard,

Save yourself the grief. Toss Avria & replace it w/ MSE. You'll be much better off & no annoyances.

I have encountered Avria w/ clients; switch to MSE heartily recommended.

    Drew

    Thanks to all.

I already have MSE, so I will dump Avria.
    Tired of the redbox popups.
