    Mailmerge Data Sorting

    Is there any way that if you dont sort the mailmerge list (see http://windowssecrets.com/forums/sho...stings-(v1.52)) but we get the desire results?

    Only if you don't save the changes, or you're using a new mailmerge main document.

    sorry i got it ok the problem is when i do the merge in crm it is always open a new document so i have to do sort every time when i do merge can we run any macro or something to stop sorting every time

    Without knowing exactly what your CRM is doing, that suggests you're using a template, not a mailmerge main document.

    ok let me explain you we make mail merge template and upload them into microsoft dynamics crm when we use those template the data get fetch into that template. and thats open a new document with the template info in it (like our merge fields programing) thats how it is work

    So why don't you simply save the template in the CRM with the appropriate sort filter?

    Coding a macro for this involves embedding your entire SQL string into the code, including the SORT expression. Since I don't have access to any of that, I can't do it for you. In any event, I'm not sure what would eb required to get such code to work with your CRM.

    ok thanks i did the sorting and save that template and then upload to crm but this is not working and i think this is becaue of new main document all the time. ok if i want to add some text after the merge is completed how can i achieve this

    Doing it after the merge would be impractical. You need to either have the data sorted or have the SORT command embedded in the mailmerge main document - before the merge is executed.
