Need help finding APC BACK-UPS user manual

    Hey all,

Isn't that interesting? Banyarola beat me to the punch, and posted a thread on APC battery replacement before I could create this post! Call it serendipity.

I found a APC BACK-UPS 500, model #BK500MUS, in the office I'm working at, and naturally the user manual has been lost for it. I checked APC's website and even called up their tech support, who kindly linked me to the user manual page. However, the BK500 they have on their site is not the same as mine. The manual they provided is for the CS version of the BK500, but mine is not the tower version.

I've included some pictures of the model I have in the faint hope that someone here may know where to find the manual, or already has one in their possession and can send me a copy.

If anyone can get me a copy of the manual for this model, please let me know!

    D....
I have the 600, but in all the APC UPS's I've had, there was never a real "Manual". Is there something specific you want to know about it?

APC UPS are pretty much the same, turn 'em on and maybe plug in the comms and load the free software. Hardly need a user guide.

    cheers, Paul

    Is this it?
The closest I could find is this.

You might have more luck by searching serial number

This is where you need to go. I doubt anyone on the Windows Seven forum will know either.

A few years ago, APC and a few others, went with the newer style plastic case, with a trap door on the bottom for replacing the batteries.
That is, for the home UPS's.

I have one from Power Quest (got it on sale) that looks pretty much like the APC. I've seen a lot of those fail, and I'm not really sold on them.

The old steel cased UPS's were really pretty tough.

You can download the users manual from this web page, in PDF format.

Thanks all for your helpful replies! I did get the user manual from the links that Dr. Who and Clint so graciously provided. Sadly, the battery recently died in the UPC, and rather than replace the battery - which would have been expensive - I decided to recycle it and get a newer one. Thanks again!
