Turning off paragraph symbol and other punctuation symbols in document

    Hi,

I have Word 2010. I inadvertently turned on the punctuation, ect. symbols in Word 2010. How do I turn them off? Thank you.

As clarification for anyone reading this thread, the button (the "pilcrow" character) toggles the view. You can use the keyboard sequence Ctrl-Shift-8 to do the same thing.

Note that Word Options allows you to set specific characters to always be visible, so if you see the raised dot showing as spaces between words or the right arrow showing tabs even when you toggle the display, uncheck these characters in the "Always show these formatting marks on the screen" area within the Options Display dialog.
