Converting PowerPoint into Word

I have several powerpoint slides which I woild like to convert into word

It would be appreciated if someone could assist me in this regard

If you're just trying to capture the text to a Word document you can use Save As and select Outline/RTF(*.rtf) in the Save as type: box.

Thanks for the reply. I would like the entire Powerpoint file (all slides) to be converted into word without any of the text boxes around the text. When saving as Outline/RTF, it may be in word, but I don't want the slides in word, just the headings and text

I will save the Powerpoint file as a PDF file. I just realised that I have a PDF converter that will enable me to convert the PDF file into word

I'm still at a loss as to why the save to .rtf option doesn't work for you?

When saving as .rtf , there are square block lines (looks like a text box) around the data. If I save as PDF convert to word, it looks perfect (no text boxes around the data)

I tried to upload the file saved as .rtf, but this forum does not accept .rtf files. If you provide me with your email address in a private message, I can email you a sample .rtf file as well as a PDF file converted to show you the difference in how the data is displayed

You're welcome. Often it is hard to figure out exactly what is happening when you can't see the screen or choices someone is making and you also don't know what version of software they are using. This is why it is always a good idea to state OS and Software versions in the initial question as it provides the responder with a better starting point for formulating an answer thus shortening the resolution process. However as you well know most participants in the Lounge are long on patience most of the time.

No need to make it complicated.
1. In the Normal view, there is a left pane with a tab for slides and a tab for outline. Click outline.
2. Highlight everything.
3. Copy.
4. Paste into Word.
