Black Blob - Windows 7, Paste to MS Word 2002

I have a new computer and just loaded my same trusty MS Office software that I have used for about 8 years now.

Only now, there is a problem that I cannot seem to overcome: Whenever I paste into Word, it leaves black blob instead of the text. I can go back and retrieve the information for a second time and it pastes fine.

There are some work-arounds for this black blob problem around the internet boards, but they are not for this early of a version of Word.

    Majorly frustrated!! Please assist.

I don't have Works loaded on my machine.
It does avoid the black blob if I open Word before I copy text. Is that the only solution?

    Big Black Dot

I have encountered this Big Black Dot whenever I tried to copy something and paste it into MS Word. It's been bugging me for 2 weeks, until I found the solution from your site. I wanna say "thank you" so much for this piece of helpful information. Now, my copying is back to normal. Thanks, guys!!
