Microsoft has a dreadful history of badly named programs & features.
The name Aero isn't so bad though.

MS really seems to have in in for desktop users. I'm 63 and like a good sized monitor and have no use for a tablet. It will be interesting to see what the final release is really like. I don't see large companies in the process of changing from XP to Windows 7 being very receptive to Windows 8 and the amount of extra work it will require to make the desktop usable for the not so skilled users. I know a lot of people who use a computer and special software that know next to nothing about the computer in general. Apple may see more people finally trying one out after they see Windows 8. I've done work arounds, shortcuts, etc for Windows 8 and can use it but it won't be pleasant for the computer user that simply starts the computer and can't find the start orb or how to shut it down when they are done.
