    Cannot open up column a

I am using Excel 2010 with Windows 7. I have a spread sheet where Column A is not showing. I tried to unhide column A. I tried to UnFreeze the column. I tried to unprotect Column A.

    None of these items worked.

Anyone have a secret to this stubborn spreadsheet?

    Thanks

Yes, I can post. I just thought of something. OK. Got it. It seems the column was dragged over to 0 thereby not exposing the column.

Thanks for you time. One of those simple mistakes that great minds would overlook.

    Thank you again.

    Hi

Instead of trying to unhide column [A], try changing it's column width to say, 10.

Note: If a column width has been manually set to a very tiny value, e.g. 0.1, then it won't appear and it won't 'unhide' either.

To change the width of the 'hidden' column [A] in Excel2010, press [F5] Goto cell A1, then, in the top-panel Ribbon, select the [Home] tab, then the group 'Cells' (far-right on ribbon), then click the Format dropdown, then click Column Width, then type say, 10

    Hi

You replied before I finished typing my post.
But you should note, if a column width is actually set to 0 (either manually or by dragging), then it will unhide.
If it doesn't unhide, it's because its width is not zero.
i.e. it will NOT unhide only if its width value is very tiny.
    Just to let you know.
