I seem to remember years ago, someone suggested that to save on color ink/toner, to install an equivalent monochrome printer driver (pointing to the color printer), and use that for B&W printing, and choose the usual color printer drivers for color.

Well, I recently invested in my first color laserjet printer. Its a MFP -- HP CM2320nf, installed as a network printer using TCP-IP. Works great. I can choose black & white output only, but cannot make that the default, and the checkbox for that isn't even on the default tab for the print dialog.

Since most of my printing is just fine in B&W, I thought I could use the above "trick" to save on color toner, but I don't know which HP LaserJet monochrome printer uses an equivalent/compatible driver. Any ideas?

Thanx in advance for your help, anyone... <g>
