Program for burning video and photos?

    Hi All:

Is there a program where I can burn photos and video to a disc and be able to play/view both on a TV?

Took my grandson on a trip and we have lots of clips and pics, but his family has no computer, so seem to be stuck. One program I have will do the pics and another the video, but was hoping to get them both on the same disc.

    Any help appreciated . . .
    Thanks,
    ~m

I believe you can do that in Windows Live Movie Maker..
I have made them on that and they have a lot of effects and titles etc you can add.

Pretty easy to use once you play around with it for awhile to get the hang of it.

    Thanks Banyarola.

Is there a difference between Live Moviemaker and just the Windows Moviemaker?

Yes, I have both but Live is newer and I think better.

It comes with Windows Live Essentials which you can get from Microsoft.

WLE has several programs and you can pick the one you want to install.

I have had that happen on occasion.
Just close the program and start over.
You won't lose the original files or pictures...

I use Freemake Video Converter to burn video & pics to disc. Never tried both at the same time.

Thanks Banyarola. I was just worried about the time I had spent pulling it together. Need it for tomorrow, all of a sudden.

Roderunner, I'll let you all know how it goes.

Well, what you should do is save it a lot so if it crashes you don't lose all the work you did.

Also, make a a DVD with a few pics on it and then see if it plays on your TV..
After you know it works then make the final version.

Post back and let us know how it all worked out.

I tried it by adding a 12 minute video & 60 pictures, worked perfectly. All done in 20 minutes.

    RR, I'm gonna try Freemake.

But, I really don't do much of that stuff and I'm kinda used to movie maker.

I use Format Factory for all my conversions. I like that program.

If you have ever tried burning an original dvd you own ater ripping it to your pc, most programs are unable to do it as the file is too large. Freemake does it with ease. If the original dvd is encrypted, I use DVDfab HD Decrypter.

RR, yes, I have DVDFAB I have used it before and usually have to use a double layer DVD to hold a movie because of the size like you mentioned.

It's been so long since I did the last one I can't remember the steps involved.

    Hahahh, RR, no it doesn't...

Now that I think of it, I had it but never used it because the movie wasn't encrypted and I used another program, I forget which one..

I think it's still on my XP drive because it didn't work under 64bit.

    Oh well, no big deal...
