video in powerpoint presentations

I managed to insert a 10 second video clip into a presentation and run it as part of the show but after running it everything locks up for about 100 seconds then suddenly returns to life. Version 2000. 3 month old hi-spec PC. Clip is 1.2MB in size. Any thoughts?

Re: video in powerpoint presentations

I've found that video is EXTREMELY memory intensive, regardless of PC specs.
I keep wondering if there is a way to "load" the video ahead of time for use.

Any takers out there?
