how to make font setting permanent

Twice now I have "done" 'adjust clear type text' to improve legibility of font in parts of Google Earth and Chrome. But THAT text is hard to read AGAIN, suggesting that the 'clear type text' setting does not survive rebooting. How to fix in Win7 Ultimate x32 ?

I am not sure if this will help with the reboot issue, but you can increase the size of font in Chrome by Ctrl + mouse wheel to a larger or smaller size. This in effect does the same as Ctrl + (+) or Ctrl + (-) keys. I realize this is not exactly what you are asking, but may help to quickly adjust the font size without opening options. These changes do stay with a browser close and reopen.

I assume you used Chrome, Settings, Web Content, Font Size to set your settings in Chrome. Do you have the latest version of Chrome V19.0.1084.52?

My copy of chrome is v19.0.1084.52 Indeed CTRL-plus-mouse-wheel changes the font size, but the font discolouration stays atrocious irrespective of font size. I did not know about "Chrome, Settings, Web Content, Font Size", but it's irrelevant as size is not my concern.

There are other settings in addition to font size here. Use the Wrench symbol, Settings, Advanced settings and check it out.

I had checked Advanced settings, and there is nothing there which I recognize as relevant to my issue.

Sorry, I do not have any other ideas at this time.
