I've set up a Windows 7 PC with three monitors*. I want to make the middle monitor the primary monitor. Windows 7 won't let me do that. If I choose the middle monitor as primary it moves the "primary" to either side (to monitor 1 or 3.) I can make the middle one primary by switching it with the edge--but then the mouse scrolling gets weird (because Windows 7 thinks the monitor is on the edge.)
Is there anything I can do to fix this?
It's an NVidia Quadro NV2 420 graphics card that potentially takes up to 4 monitors.
*Please excuse me if this belongs in Windows 7 not Hardware

Fwiw, I have 3 mons in Win7 via nvidia GTX460 [for two of them] and nVidia ION for the third. Haven't used a quad, but couple of thoughts:
Have you dragged the monitors around in the config area, ie tried to get the visual layout to match your physical layout?
Have you tried switching the leads around? Maybe there's some magic sequence--try switching the cables which go to 1 or 3 to your middle [since they become primary, maybe there's some kind of "cable select" weirdness going on.

You right-click your desktop then select 'screen resolution'.
You then select the monitor you want to be your main display then check the check box labeled 'Make this my main display'.Problems cannot be solved by the same level of thinking that created them. -Albert Einsten
