Word Symbols (Word 2000)

My default font is Times New Roman; have Win98, Word 2000, LaserJet2100TN printer; I cannot get some symbols to print on documents - they show up on the screen, but nothing prints in that area on the document. The ones I have problems with are the greater than or less than symbols, shadow boxes, and fractions that you get from the "insert symbols". Very frustrating.... any help would be greatly appreciated

Probably an out-of-date printer driver; the following site should help troubleshooting most printer problems. In your case, look in the section "Symbols and Text":
WD2000: Troubleshooting Printer Output Issues in Word 2000

Re: Word Symbols (Word 2000)

We did do a printer driver update to try to solve - which did not work. These files can be printed correctly when sent to another printer. I am looking at other suggestions from the WD2000 website to try. Thx for your reply.
