Word 2003 Template - different headers and footers

Hi - I'm stuck and welcome any help with open arms!!

I need to create a template which may be one or more pages when finished. One the first page I need to insert a footer if the document is only one page in length. If the document is two pages in length, then I need no footer on the first page, but a footer on the second page. If the document is three pages long then I need no footer on first and second, but the footer on the last page- sounds simply enough - but I just can't get it..... Please help.....

I'm no expert, but maybe I can get you started. try this { If {PAGE} = {NUMPAGES} "Your footer here" }. Insert the field braces by pressing Ctrl+F9.

Pam's response is correct. Like her, I am assuming that what you want is your footer on the last page of your document.

To make the field you can type the text that is to go in the field and select it, then press Ctrl-F9. Or press Ctrl-F9 to create a pair of field braces and type the text between them.
