    Unhappy Word 2010

I am trying to create a form and want to insert a form field that has restrictions, i.e. only 3 characters long and to be only numeric. I used to be able to do this in Word 2003 (oh, how simple that version was!!!), but no matter how hard I try, I cannot find how to do it in Word 2010. I am looking under Developer / Legacy Forms. Is it hidden somewhere else? Can anyone help please?

The legacy text form field will let you do this.

Go to Developer > Legacy Tools > Text Form Field
Then right click it and choose Properties

Remember that, as in Word 2003, the form has to be protected for filling in forms for the form field to act as you expect.
