The BIOS warning is one continuous beep!

It's an Award BIOS and what I've found is that means a problem with the GPU which is on board. Both of my monitors are working fine any suggestions?

You might try to look for updated drivers. It is possible the GPU drivers have become corrupt. I would think an onboard Graphics Adapter might affect the Bios more than descreate. Who knows.

    Fred,
Just downloaded CPUID Hardware Monitor 1.19. It doesn't show VBAT in the list on my PC.
Motherboard is ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3, and it does have a BIOS battery.

Are you sure it isn't a stuck key on the keyboard? Suggest you try disconnecting keyboard and mouse, and power on again.

Be worth it to replace the battery anyway they are usually cheap. As it could be giving slightly low voltage so will work sometimes and other times not.
