    AHCI change without Win 7 reinstall?

    I'm thinking about moving my OS & Program partitions to a SATA III SSD in my 3y.o. SATA II system (until I build a new one in 1-2 years). SATA drives are currently set to IDE. ??Can I change te setting to AHCI without reinstalling Win7?? I plan to clone the drives to the new drive, and, yes I have reviewed the

    You could create an image backup first then change the Sata to AHCI then restore the image if it messes up windows.
