When the hardrive of the HP laptop went bad, I replaced it with a similar Seagate drive. I used an old XP Pro full version with SATA drivers to boot up and install. I then used one of a three pack of Windows 7 to upgrade, installed SP1 and all updates. While at my home it connected to my wifi without a problem. I returned the unit to the owner and it will not connect to their wifi. I used the USB technique to transfer setting from their desktop to their laptop but get a message that it will not install. I search for the exact phrase and all articles point to missing adapter drivers. I downloaded and installed the correct drivers from HP but still no luck. I have rebooted, ran troubleshooters but no luck. The owner just found the original recovery disks. Should I start over and reinstall everything from those disks? Any suggestions? Thanks
