Scan In Safe Mode Or In Windows ?????

I know we all do virus and Male-ware scans, at least most of us do, on a scheduled or un-scheduled basis but I was wondering is it better to do a scan in safe mode or when In Windows..

I suspect, scanning in safe mode is more likely to detect threats that would normally be missed if scanned in Windows..

I'm sure this will generate many opinions on which is best but, hey, that's why I asked the question...

As an incentive to participate in this topic I will send an autographed picture of myself, suitable for framing, to the one that gives the best opinion.
Surely to become a family heirloom..

    Bany,

Obviously using Safe Mode is preferable since many things are not loaded and therefore can not interfer with the scan by spoofing it, not to mention the scan has more of the systems resources to run faster.

That said, I only use Safe Mode IF I suspect something is not right, otherwise doing it in windows is just fine by me.

P.S. I hope I win my dart board needs a new face!

I, like you, think safe mode is best but I rarely do it in safe mode...

After your 'PS' your chances of winning are pretty slim...

I am an Avast user, it gets to do a boot time scan now and again. As it can take awhile, I usually get some darts practice.
