    Office 2000 (sluggish) (Win 98)

My boss has loaded Office 2000 on her computer at home. Operates in Windows 98 environment. She says her computer has become very sluggish since loading Office 2000. Any ideas as to what the cause may be? Thanks.

FindFast - bane of all MS Office users, perhaps.
Check the Add/Remove setup of Office and see if it is installed. (I think it may appear in the Control panel if it is.)

Are you telling me she needs to uninstall it if it's there?

Or delete the icon from the startup group.

It probably isn't necessary to uninstall it - although you might as well if you are not going to use it.
If it appears in the CP, I think you can just turn all tracking off.

Which reminds me - if running Outlook, check for what journalling is being carried out. (Tools | Options | Journal Options)
